Congratulations...
...to Portia Simpson-Miller, the newly elected president of Jamaica. Not only is she a woman, but also a member of the democratic socialist People's National Party (considering that Jamaica is supposed to be quite conservative in nature, this is a great step forward). I wonder how much the left-wing gains made in South America influenced the voters.
